Wow! an update
Yeah, i still exists. most importantly, the Lockdown Project [link] is slowly getting underway. Tokyo has done some great work on the design, and ive begun cutting it and assembling it.

in other news, it seems Sublime is just getting more and more popular, with various win ports having been made, a Trillian skin, and a few other bits and peices.

oh, and im using Gentoo linux, mostly got everything right, therse only a few light glitchs to sort out. if you've got the time and desire, id really recommend it (so far anyway :) (Smile)

Wow, would you look at that. you ignore your page for a few months, and suddenly, its past 5000 views. go figure.

New current stuff
Things are going to be changing here at gr1dl0ck dot deviantart dot com. If you want anything pre-sawfish themes, get it soon, it wont be there in a couple of days.

Im not sure if i'll do E themes for a while, i do want to crank out some GTk / Metacity / Nautilus themes (1 at least, maybe 2) because im enjoying Gnome 2 (see my ss, its got my thoughts as of today. Grit is getting done; i'll probably hand it over to the other members of the collective to do ports to e16 and 17.

The Lockdown Collective
Note the change of name; i think this will be permanant - cant say for sure tho :P (Lick)

This is probably the first real anouncement about us. (the name may be subject to change) We are 3 linux / X11 skinners who have banded together to bring you the best possible linux app skins. pixelmasochist (aka Babyhead) and Tokyo have joined me in this undertaking. You should see some themes coming out from us in the next month or so, and perhaps some tutorials. If you want more info, feel free to note me.

One last thing [link] is a new deviant here doing photography worth your time checkin out.

Work in progress

Thu Oct 31, 2002, 7:11 PM
new stuff:
exam time for me. busy as anything. etc etc.

the SM][ is finished; great work by everyone involved :) (Smile) Id really like to see a continuation of this as both were lots of fun.

cause its nearly summer holidays here; i should be able to finish the grit theme (needs a decent name) -- if you want XMMS you will have to note me; its not a priority for me (i dont use an amp so id be doing for enterierly for other ppl), but i do have some ideas for a small Xine skin and GKrellm.

-------------------------------------------
Deviously, ive started making a personal website for myself - or possibly as a small skinning group for linux users (and probably somewhat exclusive), the screenshot is below if you want to comment (please do) - lots of DHTML goodness planned, and its in style that is kind of my evolved from how i did the -V- theme, but with the experience ive gained from the Skin Mosaics (thanks guys)

Downer for the week is to see that Moshi ([link]) has decided to leave the community, go read his journal for the reasons - i fully support him, but its a pity to see him go (I possibly would have left a while ago, but DA is still the only community for linux skinners (i dont think the new-new T.o realy cuts the mustard)

on the positve side, contrary to my previous post about the state of the SM][ it seems to have picked up in quality, altho its slowed down alot since the buzz that existed for the first outing. Yay for us, we won the mosaic contest (as expected) so i now have no ads 4 three months. Yay.
